Regarding the downloaded software package (cf. the textbook) (source codes & test imges), you may not be able to view test images directly under UNIX. So, download test images into MS windows based PC. You can you Matlab (or other tools) to view these test images.

 (Project 1) Do Huffman encoding and decoding using the downloaded source code ("C") under Unix environment.

 For other /specific routine, you may write by yourself using either "C" or Matlab. If you do so, show your source code in the project report
