Changhua Yu received his B.S. in 1995 from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, and M. Sc in 1998 from Shanghai Jiaotong University, Shanghai, China. He joined the Neural Networks and Image Processing Lab in the EE department as a research assistant in 2001. In 2005, he received the Ph.D degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington. From March 2005 to December 2006, he worked on real- time object detection and super-resolution at FASTVDO LLC in Columbia, Maryland. Currently, he is a lead imaging engineer at Ikonisys, Inc., working on the identification of rare cells in microscopic biological preparations. His main research interests include image processing and pattern recognition.
