Zi-Qin Wang was born in Anhui province, China, in 1963. He earned the B.S. in Power Engineering at Wuhan Institute of Hydraulic and Electric Engineering in 1983. He earned the M.S. in Control Engineering at Southeast University in 1986, and stayed on as an Instructor until 1988. From 1988 to 1990, Mr. Wang was a Lecturer at Southeast University in Nanjing, China. From 1990 to 1992, he was a Norwegian Research Fellow ant the Norwegian Institute of Technology in Trondheim, Norway, where he worked applied robust and optimal control techniques in process control. From 1992 to 1995, he was a visiting scholar at Pennsylvania State University in University Park Pennsylvania. There he worked on (1) robust control in dc to dc power converters and (2) a comparison of multilayer perceptron and CMAC neural networks. From 1995 through 1996, Mr. Wang worked in the Image Processing and Neural Networks Laboratory in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington. He graduated with an M.S. in Computer Science in 1996. From 1996 to the present, Mr. Wang has worked as a process control engineer at FAS Technologies in Dallas, Texas.
