Biography
Dr. Jean-Hsang Lin was born in Taiwan in 1955. He received the B.Sc
in Electronics Engineering from Chung-Yuan University, Taiwan in
1977, the M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of
Texas at Arlington in 1984, and the Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering
from Purdue University in West Lafayette Indiana in 1989. During
1981-1982, he was a design engineer at GTE Telecommunications
Taiwan Ltd, where he was involved in microprocessor system design.
In 1989, he joined the Department of Electrical Engineering at the
University of Delaware as an Assistant Professor where he taught
classes and conducted research in the areas of digital signal
processing and communications. Since July 1995, he has been with
CCL/ITRI, Taiwan, as a Member of the Technical Staff of the
Wireless Communications Department. Presently, he is involved with
the development of the DECT cordless phone system. His technical
interests include telecommunications, neural networks, nonlinear
signal processing, estimation theory, and image processing.
