John Wei received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 1991 and M.S. degree in the same field from Arizona State University in 1993. He spent next 2 years in Doctoral program till 1995 when he went to work in the wireless mobile industry. In 1998, Mr. Wei joined Nokia Inc. at Irving, TX on cellular system research, design and implementation including system simulation, specification, and mobile software development. By 2001, Mr Wei enrolled in University of Texas at Arlington part time to pursue Doctoral degree. He is currently with Neural Networks and Image Processing  Lab in the EE department, under the supervision of Professor Mike Manry. His research interests include speech recognition, neural network and artificial intelligence.
