Biography
of C. Lin
C. Lin received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering
from the National Taiwan University in 1982. He received the M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University
of Texas at Arlington in 1984. From 1984 to 1988, he performed research in image
processing at the University of Southern
California. From 1988 to 1990, he worked for William Pratt at
VICOM and then as a computer vision algorithm designer at
KLA, Inc.
Since 1990, he has been working at 8x8, Inc, in San Jose California,
(formerly known as IIT), where he writes
videoconferencing software for controlling digital video
compression/decompression
chips for MPEG1/2, H320, H324 etc. His current interests are digital signal processing,
image processing, image understanding, and
videoconferencing. He is a member of Tau Beta Pi.
