Dr. Q. Liang has been awarded the prestigious Young Investigator Award from the Office of Naval Research. Only 26 grants were awarded out of 220 proposals submitted. See the News Release

His research interests include wireless communications, wireless networks, ad hoc networks and sensor networks, communication system and communication theory, signal processing for communications, fuzzy logic systems and applications, multimedia network traffic modeling and classification, statistical and nonlinear signal processing.

Dr. Liang has published more than 40 journal and conference papers, 3 book chapters, and has 6 U.S. patents pending. He has received 2002 IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems Outstanding Paper Award.
