The Electrical Engineering Department graduate student Mr. Worakarn Wongsaichua with Professors Wei-Jen Lee and Soontorn Oraintara received the 2004 IEEE, IAS, I&CPS (Industrial and Commercial Power Systems Department) Ralph H. Lee Department Prize Paper Award for their technical publication "Integrated High Speed Intelligent Utility Tie Unit for Disbursed/Renewable Generation Facilities." This award will be presented at the 2005 I&CPS Technical Conference Awards luncheon in Saratoga Springs, NY on May 11, 2005.
